To book a practical driving test you will need:

Your driving licence number

A valid debit or credit card

Payment by Cheque or Postal Order

You can book your theory test by post by completing an application form which can be downloaded by following the link

or you can obtain a form from any driving or theory test centre or by telephoning the practical test enquiry line on 0870 0101 372 between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday and 8.00am and 4.00pm Saturdays.

Upon booking you will be given a booking number and sent an appointment card as confirmation usually within a few days.

Cancelling a test

You are required to give a minimum of three clear working days notice of your decision to cancel or postpone your test; otherwise you will lose your test fee

Rebooking a test

If you fail the test you will have to wait a minimum of three clear working days before you can take the test again.
