The DSA Practical Driving Test may only be booked if you hold a valid Theory / Hazard Perception Test certificate and hold a provisional licence. If you have the necessary documents your driving instructor will be able to book the test on your behalf Payment by debit or credit card You can book a practical test online by debit or credit card by following the link Click here to book a practical test. or by telephone 0870 0101 372 between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday and 8.00am and 4.00pm Saturdays To book a practical driving test you will need: Your driving licence number Your theory test pass certificate number A valid debit or credit card Payment by Cheque or Postal Order You can book a practical test by post by completing an application form which can be obtained from any driving or theory test centre or by telephoning the practical test enquiry line on 0870 0101 372 between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday and 8.00am and 4.00pm Saturdays. Upon booking you will be given a booking number and sent an appointment card as confirmation usually within a few days. Cancelling a test You are required to give a minimum of ten clear working days notice of your decision to cancel or postpone your test; otherwise you will lose your test fee. If you are unwell on the day of the test and can get a doctor to verify this, the DSA will refund the test fee. Rebooking a test If you fail the test you will have to wait a minimum of fourteen clear working days before you can re-take the test.
